| HHS FootballThe Hampton High Huskies Football team has been a tradition at Hampton High since 1998. Over the years the team has had more than its fair share of success. The team won back to back AA provincial championships in 2001 and 2002. The 2002 team won every game. In 2003 the team jumped to the AAA division and only lost one game, the provincial final to Fredericton High School. | |

Huskies Alumni Homecoming Weekend Update Plans for the 4th annual Huskies Alumni Homecoming weekend are taking shape and the excitement is building as the time draws closer. Thanksgiving weekend is fast approaching and this year’s events are expected to be even bigger than last year.To date this event has raised almost 15,000.00. We have been able to provide the high school football team with brand new helmets and other equipment that they have required. We have given out four 750.00 scholarships and have been able to give some money to the high school. At this time we would like to congratulate the two scholarship winners from 2009. Pat O’Brien and Alex Locke. Congratulations and good luck in pursuing your education. This year’s Friday evening Meet and Greet will be held at the Hampton Bar at 8:00. Come mingle and get reacquainted with some old friend. Starting early Saturday morning, alumni teams will take the field to play some flag football in an effort to have their team name adorn the alumni plaque. To register your team to play flag football please contact Sherrie Rourke at 832-4622 or freshe@nbnet.nb.ca or attend Fridays Meet and Greet. There is no fee to play again this year. At 10:00 our High School girl’s soccer team will face off with against the Alumni girls. If you’re not playing come out and cheer on the girls. At 1:00 the Hampton High Huskies Football team will host Oromocto in what is certain to be an exciting match. As in the past we are all looking forward to Saturday night’s homecoming dance. Tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the door. Please be advised that you must be 19 to attend this function. Please have proper ID with you. Lots of bargains were had at last year’s silent auction so don’t miss out this year. If you have anything you care to donate to this auction please contact Carolyn Arseneaut @ 832-5621 or Diane Cole @ 832-3821. They would be glad to take it off your hands. The Huskies Homecoming committee invites all to come out and enjoy this community event. As in the past the dance has had a reunion like atmosphere.
